Muong Hoa Valley Trek & Ethnic Villages

The day is dedicated to an enchanting hike through the picturesque Sapa Valley. Your journey begins along a winding road that gently descends into Cau May, covering a distance of 6 kilometers. As you walk, the morning mist unveils breathtaking views of rice terraces, creating a truly awe-inspiring sight that captures the essence of this stunning landscape. Crossing the Muong Hoa River, you will navigate through lush terraced rice fields, making your way to the charming Black Hmong village of Lao Chai.

Your trek continues through expansive rice paddies until you reach the quaint village of Ta Van Giay. As you follow the path alongside the Muong Hoa River, you will encounter a small suspension bridge, approximately 2 kilometers from the settlement. Here, a fascinating collection of ancient rock carvings awaits your discovery. These engravings depict images of people, traditional stilt houses, and intricate decorative patterns, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the area.

After a rewarding morning of exploration, enjoy a delightful lunch in a local home, where you can savor authentic flavors and warm hospitality. Following your meal, the trek resumes as you venture through a serene bamboo forest towards Giang Ta Chai, a vibrant Red Dao ethnic village. Take a moment to rest by a nearby waterfall, allowing the refreshing ambiance to rejuvenate you before the final leg of your journey. You will then ascend to a road where your vehicle awaits, ready to transport you back to the charming town of Sapa.
