Taphin Heritage Trek
Day 1 – Scenic Trek to Taphin
Begin your adventure by meeting your local guide and driver at your hotel in Sapa, where you will embark on a transfer to Mong Sen. Here, the trek begins as you ascend through the majestic mountains, surrounded by breathtaking views of terraced rice paddies and flourishing corn fields. A delightful picnic lunch will be served amidst this stunning backdrop, allowing you to savor the beauty of nature. After lunch, the journey continues as you trek downhill towards Taphin village. Along the way, you will encounter the vibrant cultures of the Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities, two of the largest ethnic groups in the Sapa region. Take a moment to stop by a local home, where you can engage in conversation with the residents, gaining a deeper understanding of their daily lives, customs, and traditions. As the day comes to a close, enjoy a hearty dinner and settle in for a restful night in the village.
Day 2 – Return Trek to Sapa
After a nourishing breakfast, set off on your trek back to Sapa, traversing through several ethnic villages and picturesque rice paddy terraces. Upon reaching Matra village, inhabited by the Black Hmong people, a delicious lunch will await you, providing a perfect opportunity to recharge. Following your meal, continue your scenic walk back towards Sapa, reflecting on the rich experiences and memories created during your heritage trek.
