Upon arrival at Tambolaka airport, our friendly driver and guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel in Tambolaka. After settling in, enjoy a delightful lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Ratenggaro village to explore its distinctive traditional houses and an ancient stone-age cemetery, providing insight into local heritage. Next, visit Weekuri Lake, known for its clear, salty waters where swimming and cliff jumping are popular activities. The day concludes with a visit to Mandorak Beach to observe the sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day 2
Southwest Sumba Adventure (B/L)
After breakfast, begin your journey from Southwest Sumba towards East Sumba. Your first stop will be Praijing Village, offering a glimpse into traditional local life and culture. Continue to Lapopu Waterfall, a scenic site characterized by a fresh cascade surrounded by lush vegetation. Then embark on a long drive to Waingapu in East Sumba. Along the way, pause at Warding Hill to admire the panoramic sunset views, encompassing the diverse landscape of Sumba Island.

Day 3
Exploring East Sumba (B/L)
Start the day with a visit to Tanarara Hill, which affords picturesque views over the rolling hills and traditional villages. Today’s excursion takes you to Tanggedu Waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls on Sumba Island. Afterward, head to the nearby Puru Kambera savannah and beach area, an ideal spot for relaxation and appreciating the open savannah environment adjacent to the coast.

Village Exploration (B/L/D)
Experience the traditional lifestyle of Sumba with a visit to Prailiu Village, where you will observe the distinctive architecture of local houses and ancient tombs. After lunch, visit Tenau Hill for further scenic vistas and the opportunity to witness another sunset over the island’s terrain. The day concludes with a farewell dinner at the hotel.

Travel between Tambolaka and Waingapu involves traversing rural roads that can be uneven and narrow in places, so expect cautious driving and moderate speeds. The intercity journey typically takes around 4 to 5 hours depending on road and weather conditions. During the rainy season, some sections may become slippery or challenging. Local transfers are usually by private car or minivan arranged in advance. Accommodation outside Waingapu and Tambolaka tends to be basic, so plan accordingly for comfort and supplies.
