As you pause to catch your breath, take in the serene beauty that surrounds you.

Before noon, you will find a delightful spot to enjoy lunch, recharging for the afternoon ahead. The trek becomes gentler as the day progresses, allowing you to appreciate the increasingly stunning scenery. By late afternoon, you will arrive at Seomity village, where you will experience a homestay with the welcoming Black H’mong people. Enjoy a hearty dinner and settle in for a cozy overnight stay.

Day 2 – Trekking to Ta Trung Ho

As you navigate small trails winding through the rainforest, you will arrive in Den Thang village, where a well-deserved lunch awaits you, either by the river or in a local school, depending on the weather.

After lunch, prepare for a more challenging trek along narrow footpaths that require focus and determination. You will reach Ta Trung Ho village, inhabited by the Red Dao minority, where you will spend the night in a local house. The village, having just welcomed foreign visitors, offers a unique glimpse into the vibrant local culture, enhanced by the warm hospitality of the Red Dao community.

Day 3 – Return to Sapa

Your final day begins at the edge of the rainforest, nestled against the majestic Hoang Lien Son mountain range, home to Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina at 3,143 meters. You will start your trek by ascending to Nam Toong village of the Red Dao minority, where a delicious lunch will be prepared for you in a local school.

In the afternoon, before descending to Ban Ho, take a moment to refresh yourself at a nearby waterfall, a perfect spot to cool off and reflect on your journey. Afterward, your car will transport you back to Sapa, where the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure until your transfer to Laocai station for the night train back to Hanoi.

Destination Information

Seomity

Seomity Sapa Vietnam is a mountainous area distinguished by its dramatic natural landscape and the enduring presence of diverse ethnic minority communities. The region’s steep slopes are sculpted into extensive terraced rice fields that change with the seasons, reflecting centuries of agricultural practice adapted to the challenging terrain. The Muong Hoa Valley stretches through this landscape, offering a patchwork of cultivated land and forested hillsides that frame the daily lives of local villagers. The area’s cultural fabric is visible in its markets, where traditional textiles and crafts are exchanged alongside everyday goods, providing insight into the rhythms of rural life. The surrounding peaks, including the imposing Fansipan Mountain, draw visitors seeking to experience both physical challenge and panoramic views. This combination of natural features, cultivated land, and living cultural traditions creates a setting where the environment and human activity are closely intertwined, offering a distinctive experience rooted in place and community.

Ta Trung Ho

Ta Trung Ho is defined by its expansive wetland environment, where water and land merge to shape both the landscape and local livelihoods. The area’s calm lake waters are framed by reed beds and marshes, creating a habitat that supports diverse wildlife and sustains traditional fishing practices. Small fishing communities line the shores, their daily routines intertwined with the rhythms of the lake and its seasonal cycles. Surrounding fields reflect the region’s agricultural activity, with crops cultivated in close proximity to the wetlands, illustrating a balance between cultivation and conservation. The settlement’s layout is modest and functional, with simple structures built from local materials that blend into the natural surroundings. The atmosphere here is quiet and measured, marked by the steady pace of rural life and the ongoing relationship between people and water. Ta Trung Ho’s distinct combination of aquatic ecosystems, human adaptation, and agricultural presence offers insight into a way of life shaped by the environment, setting it apart from more urbanized or mountainous areas nearby.
