This tour begins with a leisurely drive across the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge, the longest bridge in Southeast Asia, connecting the vibrant Penang Island to the serene mainland of Peninsular Malaysia. As you journey south along the North South Expressway, take in the picturesque views of small palm oil plantations and lush pineapple fields that dot the landscape, leading you to the quaint town of Bukit Merah.
Upon arrival, board a ferry boat that will transport you to the enchanting Orang Utan Island. Step ashore and prepare to be captivated by the 'People of the Jungle,' the Orang Utans, who are not only an endangered species but also renowned for their remarkable intelligence. With one of the longest birth intervals among mammals, these fascinating creatures give birth approximately once every eight years, making each encounter truly special.
Your adventure continues as you make your way to Taiping, a charming town steeped in history and once a thriving tin-mining hub in Perak. Here, you will visit the Perak Museum, one of the oldest and most significant museums in Malaysia, founded in 1883 by Sir Hugh Low, the fourth British Resident of Perak. This museum offers a glimpse into the rich cultural and natural heritage of the region. After exploring, enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) before concluding your memorable day with a return journey to Penang.

- The tour operates from Wednesday to Monday, with departures at 8:00am. It is not available on Tuesdays.
- Clients should be informed that the tour may be subject to availability on specific dates: February 5-8 and March 10-11, 2027.
- In case of low water levels at Lake Bukit Merah, the tour will not operate between June and August. Advise clients to check for updates before their trip.
- During the ferry ride to Orang Utan Island, clients should be prepared for potential waiting times, especially during peak tourist seasons.
- Lunch is not included in the tour; recommend local dining options in Taiping for clients to experience local cuisine.
- Inform clients about the historical significance of the Perak Museum, as it is one of the oldest museums in Malaysia, founded in 1883.
- While visiting Orang Utan Island, remind clients to respect the wildlife and adhere to any guidelines provided by the guides regarding interaction with the animals.
