2-Day Package to Nam Cat Tien Park Wildlife Trek
Day 1 – Saigon to Nam Cat Tien National Park
Your eco-adventure begins with an early pickup from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, followed by a scenic three-hour drive to Nam Cat Tien National Park, covering approximately 150 kilometers. Upon arrival in the late morning, you will check into the park’s guesthouse, conveniently located within the Headquarters area.
After settling in, savor a relaxing lunch featuring local specialties, which will prepare you for an afternoon of exploration. You will set out for a two-hour trek through the park’s Core Reserve Area, where you will be surrounded by dense jungle vegetation, towering trees, and a rich diversity of wildlife. Along the way, you will learn about native plant species and ongoing conservation efforts, enhancing your appreciation of this unique ecosystem.
As evening approaches, return to the headquarters for dinner before gearing up for an exhilarating night safari. This adventure combines a jeep and boat tour that will take you deeper into the forest, where spotlights may reveal nocturnal animals such as deer, civets, and porcupines, depending on the weather and seasonal conditions. After a day filled with discovery, you will enjoy a restful overnight stay at the National Park Guesthouse.
Day 2 – Nam Cat Tien National Park to Saigon
Awaken early to the soothing sounds of the forest, a gentle reminder of the natural wonders surrounding you. After a delightful breakfast, embark on a four-hour trek to Crocodile Lake, a tranquil wetland habitat that is home to the endangered Siamese Crocodile. This location is one of the few places in the world where these fascinating creatures can still be observed in their natural environment. As you journey to the lake, birdwatchers will have the opportunity to spot a variety of rare and endemic birds that frequent this serene area.
Upon returning from your hike, enjoy a well-deserved lunch before checking out of the guesthouse. In the early afternoon, you will depart the park and transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving in the late afternoon, filled with memories of your immersive wildlife experience.
